We can all agree that Mike Richards is a piece. Even before he signed his mega-bucks mega-long-term contract with the Philadelphia Flyers, he was cute. Also cute? His mega-bucks, mega-long-term contract with the Philadelphia Flyers. But you have to admit, the bank account isn't the most appealing aspect of Richards when selecting him as one of your hockey boyfriends. There is a certain "boyfriendy-ness" to him that's hard to describe. But it can be summed as thus: he seems like he would do your taxes for you. Or make sure to buy ice pops when you run out of them. Or drive your best friend to the airport when you have to go to that meeting and can't make the trip. He just seems responsible and good-natured and calm. You just feel like Richards would be the best and most reliable hockey boyfriend ever. He'd even take you back after that moment of weakness when you turned to that racier cad Ryan Getzlaf, while he was home caulking the bathtub. Yes, the 2007-2008 season was a breakthrough for Mike Richards. He made it to the Eastern Conference Final, hooked a major contract, and emerged as the most responsible fantasy life partner this side of James Marsden. Congratulations, Mike. You earned this. And can you pick up some milk on the way home?

Yep, that pretty much sums up his inclusion in the Flyers.Femme 2007-08 hockey harem as an HBF. Richie will obviously be in it next season, and could be in line for promotion to HH with my Sami's retirement and return to Finland.
